Design Guidelines
These guidelines set out the artwork requirements that apply when you order custom printed packaging through brndy.au. Compliance with these requirements helps avoid delays and ensures optimal print results.
1. Overview
You are responsible for ensuring that any artwork you supply meets the technical requirements below.
Files that do not comply may result in production delays or requests for replacement artwork.
2. Accepted File Formats
Your artwork must be supplied in one of the following formats:
- PNG
- SVG
We do not accept JPG/JPEG, GIF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), PSD, or other file types via the website.
Where possible, vector files (SVG or vector-based PDF) are recommended for the sharpest print result.
PNG files are accepted, but must be high-resolution and should not be low-quality exports or screenshots.
3. Vector & Artwork Requirements
Your vector file must:
- Contain true vector paths (not rasterised artwork)
- Have all fonts converted to outlines
- Contain no linked external assets
- Be fully embedded and expanded
BRNDY does not redraw, recreate or redesign your logo unless separately agreed in writing.
4. Files Exported from Online Design Tools
Some online design platforms may export PDF files that appear to be vector-based but are flattened to raster artwork or contain embedded images.
These files may not meet commercial print requirements.
If your exported file does not meet production standards, you may be required to provide a replacement file. This may delay production timelines.
5. Technical Review & Replacement Files
All uploaded artwork is subject to technical review for print suitability.
If your file does not meet production requirements, we may request a replacement file before proceeding.
Production timelines will not commence until suitable artwork has been received, approved and paid for in accordance with our Terms.
6. Scaling & Placement Adjustments
Your artwork may be resized or repositioned to fit the printable area of the selected product.
Minor adjustments may be made to ensure print suitability. The final layout is subject to your approval during the proofing stage.
7. Proofing & Approval
A digital proof will be supplied to you before production.
Production will not commence until:
- You have approved the proof; and
- Payment has been received in cleared funds.
Your approval confirms acceptance of layout, scale and overall appearance.
8. Complimentary Revisions
Each order includes up to two (2) complimentary minor revisions.
Minor revisions may include adjustments to size or positioning.
Major artwork changes are not included.
Additional revisions beyond two rounds could incur additional fees at our discretion and may delay production.
9. Colour & Print Variations
Printed colours may vary from on-screen appearance due to differences in materials, lighting and printing processes.
Minor variations in colour tone and alignment are normal in commercial printing and do not constitute defects.
10. Intellectual Property Responsibility
You warrant that you own, or have all necessary rights to use, any artwork you supply.
By submitting artwork, you grant BRNDY the right to reproduce and share your artwork with third-party manufacturers strictly for the purpose of fulfilling your order.
11. Refusal of Artwork
BRNDY reserves the right to refuse artwork that is technically unsuitable, unlawful, infringing, or that may reasonably expose BRNDY to legal, regulatory or reputational risk.
Where artwork is refused, we may request replacement files or decline to proceed with your order.
